Art Show & Auction
The Public Art Show, Auction & Reception will be held on Sunday, May 7th, 2017 from 2– 5pm at the Neon Museum’s NE10 building, 300 N. Las Vegas Blvd, 89101.
Please note: This event is not at the Neon Museum, rather it is a few blocks south, at the NE10 building, directly across the street from Zappos, on the northeast corner at Stewart. There is disabled parking near the entrance, and ample parking in the rear, off Stewart.
The Art Show display will be open for public viewing during First Friday, May 5th, from 5 - 8 pm.
The Sunday, May 7th, event will feature a Wine and Cheese reception and an opportunity to meet and greet with participating artists.

ENTRY FEE: $15 per piece with a maximum of four entries. To reserve your spaces, all participants must complete the online entry form found below. This site will not be available when all spaces have been reserved.
AWARDS: Overall Best of Show - $800. Ribbons will be awarded for Best of Show and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each of the categories listed below.
New for 2017 – First Place Winners in each category will be part of a gallery exhibition at Las Vegas City Hall. Winning entries must be available to show at Las Vegas City Hall (if they are purchased at auction, buyer will agree piece will be picked up or delivered after showing).
CATEGORIES: Oil, acrylic, pencil, pen & ink, pastel, mixed media, watercolor, photography, and sculpture (all mediums).
PRESENTATION: All work must be original, is open to any theme (please keep in mind this is an all-ages show/reception), and cannot be in violation of any copyrights. Hanging artwork must be appropriately framed and pre-wired for display. Sculptures must be safely stable when set in place. All entries must remain on display until the close of the exhibit, and must be available for sale/silent auction.
DIMENSION OF WORK: Framed artwork cannot exceed four feet in height or width. Sculptures must not weigh over 100 lbs. with a maximum height of four feet and width or depth of two feet.
AUCTION OF ARTWORK: Minimum bid price may not be changed after entry. Note: Paintings with a starting bid of $200 or $250 have had the best response and have generated the highest sale prices. Helldorado Days is not responsible for incorrect pricing after acceptance of entries. Helldorado Days shall receive 25% commission of the auctioned piece. Payment for sold pieces will be by mailed check. Winning entries must be available to show at Las Vegas City Hall (if they are purchased at auction, buyer will agree piece will be picked up or delivered after showing).
DELIVERY: Artists are responsible for delivery of entries to the Neon Museum Offices and their removal. Hand delivered entries must be brought to the Neon Museum Offices (see address below) on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Shipped entries will not be accepted. Insurance of all artwork is the personal responsibility of the artist. Any entry not sold at the auction needs to be picked up the following Monday, May 8th between the hours of 10am and 2pm.
PUBLIC AUCTION & CLOSE OF SHOW: Sunday, May 7th, 2017, from 2-5pm, Public Auction with a wine and cheese reception at the Neon Museum’s NE10 building, 300 N. Las Vegas Blvd, 89101, on the northeast corner at Stewart.
